This special “GEORGE STEWART” edition release is to celebrate the 79th birthday of Falkirk Distillery Founder, George Stewart.
This year George has donated a cask of his beloved whisky to Prostate Scotland, in the hopes of helping raise awareness, of a disease that we now know effects one in ten men in Scotland #ProstateScotland.
This whisky is a marriage of bourbon and sherry casks hand selected by George himself from our dunnage warehouse. A bottling strength of 48% highlights the strong fruity and floral DNA of Falkirk Distillery with spice and orange flavours from the sherry meeting the crisp green apple and vanilla profile imparted by the bourbon casks.

Whilst the colour is of a young whisky, the aroma and flavour are that of a master in the making. Lots of fruity and floral notes on the nose, definitely hits you in the face with green apples.
On the palate the apples maintain their prominence followed swiftly with heavy note of vanilla ad soft caramel, standard from a Bourbon matured liquid. The sweetness of the oloroso comes through also and there is a decent amount of pepper on the back of the tongue due to the tannins from the wood.
Adding a few drops of water brings it to life even more and the pepper notes hit the front of the palate whilst the fruits, vanilla and apples linger towards the back.
It a medium finish that evaporates like a Summer mist but leaves you curious for another dram. Well done George and team, the first of many a great dram from this amazing distillery.
