Service Description
Dive into the essence of Irish whiskey with our comprehensive in person course. Whether you're an enthusiast (newcomer or seasoned professional) or are already working in the industry (in a customer-facing role), this self-paced online course is your passport to unravelling the rich tapestry of Ireland's beloved spirit. The Certificate in Irish Whiskey has been meticulously crafted by renowned Irish whiskey experts Matt Healy and Fionnán O’Connor. Approved by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA), the format is an experiential, in-person 2 day course, with easy-to-follow multimedia lessons over eight accessible yet thoroughly challenging modules. You’ll embark on an enriching journey into the world of Irish whiskey, gaining a profound understanding of the production process, broader historical context and current industry culture. Upon completion of the final assessment (50 questions, multiple choice format), you'll be sent an EWA digital completion certificate and your badge will be waiting on your desk at the start of the course. We will be hosting a guided tasting at the end of day one to help solidify the days teaching so participants are encouraged to book accommodation for the evening.
